The Rossoneri

The Rossoneri - Irish, folk, acoustic Manchester music
Extraordinary Rendition

Overview

Extraordinary Rendition, (EXR) was a collective of different bands across south Manchester, with a nucleus group consisting of guitars, bass, drums, percussion, keyboards, brass and vocalists. By summer 2006 they had established sets covering a wide variety of genres, including soul, jazz, ska, reggae, rock, country and rock 'n' roll. Now The Rossoneri were also part of this collective, offering an Irish Folk Rock set. Jenny has also played fiddle and keyboards in some other sets, and Phil has played flute, bodhrán and backing vocals.

From October 2006, EXR variety nights were held the first Sunday of the month at Revise Bar on Wilbraham Road, Chorlton. See the EXR website, www.exr.org.uk for details about these and other past gigs, (link opens in new window).

EXR changed focus over the following years, and is now referred to as EXR Music Services, offering affordable rehearsal space and PA hire to bands in Manchester.
